BEAVERTON, Ore. — Leupold & Stevens, Inc. has expanded the award-winning VX-5HD
riflescope line with the addition of two new high power models that feature enhanced
magnification: a 4-20×52 and a 7-35×56.
The VX-5HD line – which has been recognized for its excellence by being named “Optic of the Year” by Guns & Ammo and embraced by consumers around the globe – features a 5x erector assembly, fitting perfectly into Leupold’s line up between the VX-3i and the VX-6HD.
“When we designed the VX-5HD line, which featured magnifications of 1-5, 2-10, and 3-15, we were working to build a scope that suited any potential need a hunter or recreational shooter might have,” said Vici Peters, Product Line Manager for Leupold & Stevens, Inc. “The addition of the high-power 4-20 and 7-35 models ensures that, and they deliver the long range performance demanded by many serious shooters today, and a handful of new features that target shooters have been asking us for since the original line launched.”
One such feature is Leupold’s new CDS-T-ZL3 ZeroLock adjustment. A 3-turn, target-style dial, the CDS-T-ZL3 delivers 20 MOA per revolution in 1⁄4 MOA clicks and has a lock button revolution indicator. It allows for precise movement, tracking, and return to zero. There are two reticle options in the 7-35 VX-5HD – TMOA and Impact-14 MOA – that feature the T-ZL3 dial. The 4-20 has the CDS-T-ZL3 in the TMOA model, and Leupold’s existing CDS-ZL2 dial with a Duplex reticle. Both high power models feature 34mm maintubes and feature a side focus parallax adjustment.
Like the entire VX-5HD riflescope line, the new models feature Leupold’s Twilight Max HD Light Management System – the same one associated with all of Leupold’s premium products – to allow users to better utilize their optics longer during the early predawn hours to well past dusk. Twilight Max HD combines exceptional light transmission and glare management to provide vivid images and top-of-the-line optical performance in low-light conditions. The lightweight VX-5HD line disperses recoil energy for unrivaled durability, and is both waterproof and fogproof. Guard-ion lens coatings shed dirt and water for clear, crisp images.
All VX-5HD riflescopes are designed, machined, and assembled in the United States and backed by Leupold’s legendary Full Lifetime Guarantee.
