Hunting Gear Review: The Sitka Gradient Hoody

A nice, thick, comfortable baselayer hoody can go a long way for big game hunters. Finding a good technical piece for colder weather can sometimes be a challenge. And to our surprise, we found a great baselayer hoody in the “waterfowl section” of Sitka’s catalog.

The Sitka Gradient Hoody is designed for waterfowl hunters who need a good, durable, thick hoody to keep them warm. And while this piece is designed for waterfowl hunters, it’s actually ideal for colder weather hunts in tree stands, on mountains, and more.

This hoody is a durable and warm baselayer that can be worn on a variety of colder weather hunts. And this hoody is so comfortable, don’t be surprised if you wear it around town too.

Unfortunately, the only camo patterns available right now are in Sitka’s two waterfowl patterns. Hopefully that changes. Bit the Waterfowl Marsh might work as a top layer in a number of different habitats.

The Sitka Gradient Hoody comes in sizes M to 3XL and in Waterfowl Marsh, Waterfowl Timber, Sitka Black, White, Covert, and Eclipse. The Sitka Gradient Hoody costs $199.
