Review: The Peloton 200 Zip-T Hoodie from KUIU

KUIU Peloton 200 Zip-T Hoodie

A good hoodie is as good as gold, and the Peloton 200 Zip-T Hoodie from KUIU is about as good as it gets as far as we’re concerned.

We’ve had this hoodie on the trail and in the field for more than a year now, and it has become a key piece of apparel that is now irreplaceable. Lightweight enough for early season hunting and heavy enough to serve as a good baselayer later in the season, the Peloton 200 Zip-T Hoodie is a perfect midweight piece.

What’s notable about the KUIU Peloton 200 Zip-T Hoodie is how often we’ve worn it and in so many different situations. We first started wearing this hoodie (in black) last summer in California. Northern California is known for having cold mornings and hot afternoons in the summer, and we found this was a great piece of apparel for training. We needed nothing more on mid-morning hikes, and as things heated up, this hoodie remained breathable, light, and it wicked and dried moisture very well. And to be perfectly honest, though we couldn’t measure the true impact of the technology, KUIU’s odor control tech seemed to work, and there were days that I swapped out a sweaty and stinky undershirt and continued wearing the hoody with jeans in casual settings the rest of the day.

Later in the season, this hoody traveled to Montana for some cold weather hunts. This synthetic fleece is designed for active hunters, so it worked very well on hard hunts in the backcountry and was comfortable under a heavy jacket back at camp. And what’s important to note is that this hoodie has probably seen 200 days or more of activity in the last year and shows no signs of wear. KUIU hit a home run with this hoodie. Highly recommended.
