Review: The 6″ Deviation Ankle Boot from Grundéns

Every so often, a new piece of gear comes along that is so well-loved that we can’t praise it enough. The 6″ Deviation Ankle Boot from Grundéns is such an item.

Aside from the cool camo pattern, these boots have it all. Especially appealing — the comfort and performance. (Yes, performance.)

Let’s start with comfort. These well-cushioned boots are so comfortable, you might feel like you are wearing sneakers. They are also surprisingly light, making them worthy of all day wear without feeling like you are wearing rain boots. In fact, I wear them when it is bone dry outside.

Then there’s performance. These 100% waterproof boots have an aggressive tread that handle wet surfaces very well. A good test: Going from wet outside conditions into a slippery hard indoor surface. These boots more than passed the test.

These boots are now my most-worn piece of footwear — no joke. From taking out the trash to walking around deer camp to going about town in the rain or snow, these boots are my go-to the majority of time. These boots are also great for wet-weather hunts. And clearly constructed well, I expect these boots will be around for many years to come.
