“There is nothing more exciting than chasing elk with a bow during the rut. The plan is to use my favorite tactic in this thick country… Bugling. I want to fire a bull up, piss him off, and call him in. When a 8×6 herd bull answers the call at the tail end of the hunt, I dog him by bugling and following after the herd across the mountainside till the tactic leads to an encounter with the angry bull.”
