Black Hole Introduces an Affordable Four-Sided Crossbow Target

black-hole-crossbow-target

SUPERIOR, Wis. (Feb 21, 2017) — Building on the popularity of crossbow shooting and taking technology and design cues from its current lineup of four-sided, wrapped, open-layer targets, Black Hole has introduced the new price competitive-yet-durable Crossbow target. The front and back of the Crossbow target can stop broadheads and field tips, and field tips can be used on the woven poly-wrapped sides.

This new Black Hole Crossbow target features the patented friction-layered design that allows the bolts to enter between open layers of friction foam. Rated to stop bolts travelling in excess of 400 feet per second, the Black Hole Crossbow target uses the heat and friction generated from penetration to solidly grab and stop bolts. In just a few seconds, the heat dissipates, and the bolt releases, allowing for easy one-handed removal.

Measuring 16 inches by 16 inches by 14 inches, the new Black Hole Crossbow target offers high-contrast graphics that aid in the visibility for shooting longer distances, which is especially important when shooting a crossbow. This new target also offers multiple offset aiming spots for extended target life.

The Black Hole Crossbow is competitively priced at $69.99. With no MAP (minimum advertised pricing), dealers have more flexibility in promoting and selling this new target.

Headquartered in Superior, Wis., Black Hole is a wholly owned subsidiary of FeraDyne Outdoors. The products are proudly made in the U.S.A.  For more information on Black Hole visit www.blackholetarget.com; write to 101 Main Street, Superior, WI 54880; or call 866-387-9307.

Wicked Ridge Crossbows Introduces New Value-Priced, High-Performance Warrior G3 in Mossy Oak Break-Up Country

Warrior G3 Crossbow

From Wicked Ridge Crossbows:

MOGADORE, OH – Wicked Ridge Crossbows, regarded by many as the industry’s best value for the money, introduces its new Warrior G3 crossbow for 2016. The Warrior G3 features a new stock assembly focused on weight reduction and enhanced safety along with a narrower, lighter, and faster bow assembly.

“The Warrior built its reputation as an affordable entry-level crossbow made with a level of quality and dependability superior to many of our competitors’ premium models,” Rick Bednar, TenPoint and Wicked Ridge CEO, said. “With our bow and stock assembly upgrades for 2016, the Warrior G3 is a better performer and better value than ever.”

The bow assembly consists of a newly designed, machined aluminum riser with strategically placed cutouts that reduce weight and increase strength. It is fitted with new, tactical-black 12.3-inch WL12™ limbs powered by a new Energy Wheel™ equipped with DynaFLIGHT 97 string and yoked cables. This configuration produces a fast and maneuverable 320 FPS, 155-pound draw weight assembly that is only 19-inches from axle-to-axle when cocked.

The new, semi-skeletal stock design, made from PolyOne™ OnForce™, makes the stock assembly lighter and safer. The pass-through fore-grip design allows shooters to wrap their fingers and thumb “into” the grip for enhanced safety and stability. This feature along with the new longer glass-reinforced nylon safety wings positioned on the stock just above the grip combine to help keep the shooter’s fingers, thumb and hand safely below the bowstring’s release path when shooting.

In addition to these new safety features, the stock is also fitted with TenPoint’s DFI™ (Dry-Fire-Inhibitor) and 3.5-pound T3™ auto-engaging safety trigger.

The two assemblies combined, without accessories, weigh only 6.6-pounds. The Warrior G3 is double-dip fluid imaged in Mossy Oak Break-Up Country camo pattern. Its package includes a TenPoint 3x Multi-Line™ Scope, 3 Wicked Ridge aluminum arrows, and a quiver. Suggested retail price for Warrior G3 is $449

TenPoint Offers Lightweight, Compact Turbo GT Crossbow Package

Ten Point TurboGT

From TenPoint Crossbow Technologies:

MOGADORE, OH – For 2016, industry leader TenPoint Crossbow Technologies, introduces its NEW Turbo GT model. One of TenPoint’s four new crossbows for 2016, the Turbo GT pairs a new stock and barrel design with the company’s time-tested technology to add improved performance and maneuverability to the newest version in a long line of successful TenPoint Turbo models.

“The Turbo model has been a staple in our lineup for quite a few years now because of its maneuverability, power and price.” TenPoint CEO Rick Bednar said. “With the new stock and barrel, we’ve made it shorter and easier to handle – all without adding any cost to the consumer.”

The Turbo GT’s stock assembly features the company’s NEW shorter Fusion S™ stock and 19.5-inch synthetic barrel, fitted with a 4-inch bullpup version of its 3 ½-lb. T3™ auto-engaging safety trigger.

Configured with optimal comb-height and a two-position adjustable butt plate to match the shooter’s length-of-pull, the Fusion S stock, made from PolyOne™ OnForce™, employs strategically placed cutouts in the fore-grip and butt stock to reduce weight and improve handling and balance. The fore-grip cutouts also allow shooters to wrap their thumb and fingers “into” the grip. This feature and the glass-reinforced nylon safety wings located on the stock above the grip both help to keep the shooter’s fore-grip hand safely below the arrow flight deck.

The Turbo GT’s supercharged 175-pound XLT™ bow assembly measures a compact 13.5-inches from axle-to-axle when cocked. Its machined riser is fitted with 11-inch IsoTaper™ Limbs, MRX™ cams, DynaFLIGHT 97 string and cables, and a detachable, lightweight, coated aluminum foot stirrup.

Assembled, the Turbo GT is 35 inches long, weighs 6.5 pounds, and shoots up to 360 FPS. That is 3 inches shorter, a ½ pound lighter, and 15 FPS faster than its Turbo XLT II™ predecessor. The Turbo GT comes standard with TenPoint’s 3x Pro-View 2™ Scope and, like all TenPoint crossbows, it features TenPoint’s patented DFI™ (Dry-Fire-Inhibitor).

Available with or without one of TenPoint’s two patented cocking units, the ACUdraw™ or ACUdraw 50™, the Turbo GT is decorated in Mossy Oak® Break-Up Country®. It sells only as a complete package that includes the scope, cocking mechanism, three Pro Elite™ carbon arrows, quiver and Side-Mount Quiver Bracket. MAP: $799 with Rope Cocker, $899 with ACUdraw 50, $999 with ACUdraw.

Browning Crossbows Introduces the OneSixTwo Crossbow from the ZeroSeven Series of Browning Crossbows

View More: http://howardcommunications.pass.us/browning-z7

From Browning:

In the tradition of Browning Firearms, Browning Crossbows is pleased to announce the OneSixTwo Crossbow from the line of ZeroSeven Crossbows. The OneSixTwo will feature Mossy Oak Break-Up Country camouflage and will be made in the U.S.A.

Built for speed and accuracy, the OneSixTwo is rated to shoot at 370 FPS. The crossbow is also packed with industry leading patent pending technologies.

The Browning Crossbow OneSixTwo ships fully assembled.  Additionally it will have the Browning patent pending Crank Cocking Device (CCD) installed from the factory and will ship in the Browning TPS (Total Protection System) Travel Case.  The heavy duty case has large latches and balanced carry handles to keep the bow protected in storage or travel. The bow also comes equipped with a bore sighted Cross 1.5-5 x 32 mm push button illuminated crossbow scope with auto shut off. Three 22” Browning carbon arrows are also included.

Hunters familiar to the quality of a rifle’s trigger will appreciate the Triggertech trigger system in the OneSixTwo crossbow. The trigger has only a 3 lbs pull weight and with the Frictionless Release Technology, a responsive and smooth release. The frictionless sear on the trigger allows for a smooth feel with out any trigger creep.

For added safety, the ADF (Anti-Dry Fire) feature will not allow the safety to be off if an arrow hasn’t been loaded. In addition, the Triggertech designed trigger won’t fire unless the arrow has been loaded with the proper vane facing down. This ensures positive contact between the arrow and the string.

The patented flight track hook groove keeps the cams aligned when cocking the bow. This design allows for an even and consistent draw and results in better timing for the cams when fired producing repeatable accuracy.

The OneSixTwo comes with the Browning Crank Cocking Device. This easy to use cranking system reduces the draw to just 17 lbs. and stores in the cheek piece of the bow for easy deployment and cocking. Simply press the button on the butt stock and the check piece lifts up revealing the cocking mechanism.

The soft touch rubber textured feel Comfort Ledge Palm rest has proprietary rubber finger reminders that help with vibration, sound suppression and added safety for the user when firing.

The quiver can be placed on either side of the bow and lines up parallel to the stock using the left or right picatinny rails. There is also a rail on the bottom of the forearm for added custom ability of a grip or other accessories.

The OneSixTwo has an MSRP of $1,400.00 and a MAP of $1,200.00

CarbonNitroRDX ACU Ten Point

MOGADORE, OH – TenPoint Crossbow Technologies’ New 2016 Carbon Nitro RDX™ is the high-tech manufacturer’s response to the growing number of hunters attracted to reverse draw crossbow technology. New for 2016, its construction features TenPoint’s industry leading ultra-light, wrapped carbon fiber barrel mated with a newly engineered carbon stock.

“The popularity of reverse draw crossbows continues to grow every year,” said Rick Bednar, TenPoint CEO. “We are excited to introduce this technology to the TenPoint lineup. Pairing our highly successful wrapped carbon fiber barrel and our new PolyOne™ engineered carbon-fiber- infused polymer stock offers our TenPoint customers a refined premium level reverse draw crossbow option.”

The Carbon Nitro RDX’s stock features TenPoint’s lightweight, three-piece C3™ construction. Dramatically reducing weight, noise, and vibration, the high-tech stock is molded from carbon- fiber-infused PolyOne™ OnForce™ fitted with an adjustable cheek piece (comb) and butt plate. The rubber cheek piece adjusts to three separate positions by removing the screws and sliding it to create perfect eye-level alignment. Likewise, the rubber butt plate adjusts to two positions to match the shooter’s length-of-pull.

The 20-inch wrapped carbon fiber barrel dramatically reduces weight, noise, and vibration. It is equipped with a 4 ½-inch bullpup version of the company’s 3 ½-lb. T3™ auto-engaging safety trigger housed in a lightweight machined aluminum trigger box. Its weaver-style dovetail is fitted with a nylon-filament arrow retention brush that improves arrow grip and alignment to further reduce noise and vibration. Like all TenPoint models, the trigger assembly is equipped with a DFI™ (Dry-Fire-Inhibitor). A string stop system is also included that fits into the end of the barrel to reduce noise and vibration.

The ultra-narrow RDX bow assembly measures 10-inches axle-to-axle when cocked. Its machined, lightweight aluminum riser is fitted with TenPoint’s Over-the-Top limb pocket and Zytel® Limb Suspension System that both separates and isolates the limbs from direct contact with the riser to reduce sound and vibration. The bow assembly’s 13-inch 165-pound limbs are powered by the bow’s custom RDX Cam System™ and DynaFLIGHT 97 string and cables. The machined aluminum RDX cams are fitted with 440 stainless steel bearings to increase performance and improve stability.

The bow and stock assemblies combine to create a perfectly balanced precision hunting machine that weighs 7.8-pounds, measures only 34.25-inches long, and shoots a supercharged 385 feet per second.

Browning Crossbows to Debut at the 2016 ATA Show January 5-7, 2016

View More: http://howardcommunications.pass.us/browning-z7

From Browning Crossbows:

A new line of Browning Crossbows will debut during the ATA Show in Louisville, Kentucky, January 5-7, 2016. The crossbows will be on display in the Browning Crossbow booth number 3321 and in the new product area at the show.

“We are very excited to be able to produce Browning Crossbows in 2016,” said BJ Wolf, Director of Brand Management Browning Crossbows. “We know that the quality and performance of the new line of crossbows will hold up to the same quality and tradition that Browning is known for.”

“There are a lot of hunters who use Browning products that are interested in expanding their hunting opportunities and have considered archery hunting. Because of a number of reasons, they have not taken the step to archery,” said Rafe Nielsen, Communications Manager at Browning. “Crossbows make it much easier for a gun hunter to make that transition. With a number of states now allowing crossbows during the regular archery season, it only makes sense for the Browning name to enter that market. We are very pleased with our new agreement with Plano Synergy to produce a line of crossbows fitting of the Browning name and reputation.”

The new line of Browning Crossbows have been designed from the ground up and will include innovative patent pending features not available on any other crossbow in the market.

Initial models in the Browning Crossbow line will be in the ZeroSeven series. Included in the new line will be the OneSixOne and OneSixTwo crossbows. Both bows feature the new patent pending flight track hook groove, Triggertech ADF (Anti-Dry Fire) trigger system and three picatinny rails on the flight track. The OneSixTwo comes with the Browning Crank Cocking Device (CCD) installed from the factory. It comes completely assembled, and will ship in the Browning TPS (Total Protection System) hard travel case. The CCD is also available as an accessory for the OneSixOne, and the OneSixOne ships “mostly assembled”. Both bows come with multi-reticle illuminated scopes. All Browning Crossbow packages will include three Browning arrows.

The OneSixOne will come in black and is rated for 350 FPS while the OneSixTwo will come in Mossy Oak Break-Up Country and is rated to 370 FPS.
