Tru-Fire Introduces the Bulldog Foldback Buckle Release

True Fire BullDog release

SUPERIOR, Wis. (Aug. 15, 2017) — Tru-Fire, the leading archery release brand, has introduced the single-jaw Bulldog Foldback™ Buckle strap-style archery release. Like all Tru-Fire releases, the new Bulldog is made in the USA, and it features several patented Tru-Fire innovations and a wide range of adjustments. It  also fits both left- and right-handed archers.
The Bulldog’s hardened-steel single jaw provides versatility and allows it to be used on aluminum loops as well as string loops. Its ultra-smooth roller jaw is spring-loaded and works in unison with the trigger, so it automatically returns to the closed position when the trigger is released. The trigger travel is adjustable via a single Allen screw at the trigger’s base. The compact, machined-aluminum head is clear anodized for a corrosion-resistant natural finish, and it is length adjustable.
The Bulldog’s Foldback Buckle strap is comprised of high-strength nylon webbing sandwiched between two layers of felt for maximum comfort and sound absorption. A TrapTab™ at the end of the elastic portion of the strap and a clip integrated to the strap prevents it from completely opening when putting it on or taking it off. The patented Foldback Ring design allows the release’s head to be easily flipped back 180-degrees, where it stays in position against the buckle strap and tight to the archer’s arm to prevent the head from hitting anything while moving around the stand. The head can be flipped forward in an instant to engage the string loop.
The new Tru-Fire Bulldog release is available at retailers nationwide and conveniently online at www.trufire.com for a suggested retail price of $69.99.

Tru-Fire Eliminates Trigger Punch with the Panic-X

Tru-Fire Panic X Release
SUPERIOR, Wis. (May 16, 2017) — “Punching” the trigger rarely results in an accurate shot in archery. Tru-Fire, archery’s leading release brand, has introduced the new Panic-X release, designed to help eliminate an archer’s tendency to activate the trigger before being absolutely ready.

Target panic is something that plagues thousands of archers daily. Punching the trigger is one of the many symptoms. The new Tru-Fire Panic-X is designed to help eliminate trigger punch. The Panic-X counters target panic with its Anti-Trigger-Punch Technology that actively prevents hook release by punching the trigger in a situation where trigger panic takes over. If the archer tries to slap the trigger, the Panic-X’s internal sear will not release the string, allowing a moment for the archer to reset and resume the proper shooting sequence.

On- or off-selectable, the Anti-Trigger-Punch feature can be used for training or in the field. In the off position, the Panic-X works exactly like a standard Tru-Fire release with a cam-sear design that actuates the crisp string-hook release for extremely reliable accuracy. When turned on, this feature will only allow the trigger to release the Panic-X’s capture-style hook following a smooth, constant trigger squeeze. The Panic-X ‘s trigger travel is adjustable, as is the length of the release, itself.

The Tru-Fire Panic-X also features a premium leather buckle strap with heavy-duty yellow stitching. Its patented Tru-Fire Foldback™ strap allows the release to be folded back 180-degrees. This new release also features the Tru-Fire’s patented TrapTab™ design that allows the archer to secure the release to their wrist with one hand.

The Tru-Fire Panic-X is available at retailers nationwide or conveniently online at www.trufire.com for suggested retail price of $149.99.

Tru-Fire Introduces the Sear Back Tension Release

Tru Fire Sear Release

SUPERIOR, Wis. (April 20, 2017) — After several years of extensive research and design, Tru-Fire, the leading archery release brand, has unveiled the company’s first back-tension-style release, the Sear. Feature-packed, extremely adjustable and easily user-configurable as either a three-finger or a four-finger release, the Sear was designed from the ground up with a single purpose: to win competitive archery championships.

At the heart of the Sear is Tru-Fire’s patent-pending, four-sided variable-click sear. The four sides of the precision-ground stainless steel sear provide the archer’s choice of no-click, short-click, medium-click and long-click settings, which can be changed in a matter of minutes. Each sear has a long hot/cold adjustment range and can be adjusted precisely to the archer’s exact travel preference via a setscrew on both sides of the sear body. The one-piece anodized aluminum release head is precision machined to ensure perfect engagement of the sear and the finely ground stainless steel string hook for a consistent release, shot after shot.

The Sear’s ergonomic handle is CNC milled from solid brass and is finished with a Black Chrome coating for increased durability. The release head is attached to the handle by way of a captured stainless steel pivot pin that allows the head to rotate smoothly and consistently. The handle comes with two anodized-aluminum finger extensions; the first provides a hook that wraps the ring finger for a three-finger configuration, and the second adds a fourth-finger option. The color-matched aluminum thumb post can be placed in one of three positions on the handle.

The Sear is available with five anodizing color options for the head, finger extensions and the thumb post: Neo Yellow, Neo Orange, teal, green, and red.

The new Tru-Fire Sear release is available at retailers nationwide and conveniently online at www.trufire.comfor a suggested retail price of $149.99.

Tru-Fire Introduces the Eva Shockey Signature Release

Tru-Fire Eva Shockey release

From Tru-Fire:

SUPERIOR, Wis. (April 4, 2017) — Tru-Fire, the leading archery release brand, has collaborated with highly acclaimed TV personality and bow hunter, Eva Shockey, to design the new Tru-Fire Eva Shockey Signature strap-style release that’s packed with the latest Tru-Fire technologies, including a Tru-Forward trigger and Tru-Center technology in the head.

The Eva Shockey Signature release features a compact head with Tru-Forward trigger-finger positioning and a cam-sear design that crisply actuates the hook release. When the trigger is released, the spring-loaded long-profile hook immediately returns to the locked draw position. The release head is coated in a sound-dampening finish to dramatically reduce noise. The release’s Tru-Center technology allows the head to freely pivot and rotate on two axes in order to self-align to the centerline of the release. This eliminates the torque that can be experienced with traditional hook-style heads and many wrist-strap release designs, making the Eva Shockey Signature release very accurate and forgiving.

Featuring the popular Tru-Fire Foldback Buckle strap, the Eva Shockey Signature release, is easily identified by its beautiful custom Whiskey Patina leather strap with heavy-duty, bold teal stitching. The patented Tru-Fire Foldback Ring design allows the release’s head to be flipped back 180-degrees with ease. The head stays held in position against the buckle strap and tight to the archer’s arm to prevent the head from hitting anything while moving around the stand. The head can be flipped forward in an instant to engage the string loop.

“Tru-Fire truly has the most advanced technology for releases,” said Shockey. “Working with the designers to create a release I could put my name on was really very easy. This new release is packed with Tru-Fire’s newest features that will make any bowhunter more comfortable and confident when the moment of truth arrives.”

The new Tru-Fire Eva Shockey Signature Series release is available at retailers nationwide and conveniently online at www.trufire.com for a suggested retail price of $99.99.

Tru-Fire’s New C4 Release Brings Affordability to the Hammer-Throw Market

Tru-Fire C4 Release

From Tru-Fire:

SUPERIOR, Wis. (March 30, 2016) — Tru-Fire, the leading archery release brand, has introduced its newest four-finger hammer-throw release, the C4. This lightweight, comfortable and ultra-quiet release is built from cutting-edge materials and boasts high-end features, and it eliminates the largest barrier to entry for handheld releases: the price.

The 2.1-oz. weight of the Tru-Fire C4 release is due to its injection-molded, high-strength carbon-composite main body. A secondary injection of soft rubber fills sound-deadening nodes that also act as gripping surfaces and finger comfort pads. The composite body also features an integrated string-loop capture that allows archers leave their C4 release attached to the string loop at all times.

Easily convertible for left- or right-handed shooters, the C4 has a six-position thumb trigger, which is also adjustable for travel. The C4’s internal parts are precisely machined before being heat-treated for hardness. The newly designed string hook is fully machined and completely encircles the string loop when the cocking lever is activated. The mechanical-advantage design of the C4’s internal parts allow the string hook to hold up to 200 lbs. yet requiring only a few ounces of pressure applied to the trigger to release.

The extremely versatile Tru-Fire C4 hammer-throw release is available at dealers nationwide for a suggested retail price is $69.99.
