A new video from Bergara highlights efforts from the Bergara Foundation and the Wild Sheep Foundation to restore bighorn sheep to lands in Nebraska.
From Bergara:
“Nebraska’s bighorn sheep once thrived but vanished by the early 1900s. Decades of conservation efforts have helped restore the herd, but disease, roadkill, and habitat challenges have reduced their numbers. With 10% of our profits dedicated to conservation and sustainable hunting, we’re funding critical research and hands-on restoration efforts to ensure a thriving wild sheep population.
As part of this initiative, The Bergara Foundation worked alongside the Wild Sheep Foundation to capture, test, and collar 36 bighorn sheep, assessing their health and tracking movements. This project plays a vital role in restoring a self-sustaining population in Nebraska. At Bergara, we believe in more than just making high-quality rifles—we’re investing in the future of wildlife conservation.
