Part two of an archery Caribou hunt in Alaska unfolds in a video from Randy Newberg.
From Randy Newberg:
In episode 2 of this Alaska hunt, Marcus and Kara are planning to spend the next couple days trying to arrow a Caribou before they head to the moose unit to focus on Marcus’ tag for the remainder of the hunt. It doesn’t take long to locate Caribou, and a lot of them. Throughout the day, they are constantly surrounded by Caribou and have an endless number of stalks. But having an opportunity and getting a shot are completely different things on the open tundra landscape. They try a few different tactics or posting up by cover hoping a herd comes by, running at them, and getting on the other side of the road out of sight. While there are Caribou everywhere, Kara and Marcus sure have their work cut out for them. The next day they will be hunting in the morning before heading south to start looking for moose.
