Film: Hunting Dall Sheep in the Northwest Territories in “How Far We’ve Come”

In “How Far We’ve Come” — a film from Sitka — viewers follow Rachel Ahtila on a Dall sheep hunt in the Northwest Territories.

From Sitka:

“After years of dedicated work as a sheep guide in the remote mountains of the Northwest Territories, Ambassador Rachel Ahtila is rewarded with her first Dall sheep hunt. It’s her dream, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity; and choosing a hunting partner for this 10-day hunt could mean the difference between success and failure in the harsh and unforgiving Canadian wilderness. In spite of their complicated relationship, she invites her father to join her, choosing time in the mountains as a chance to reconnect with her dad.”

  1. A fantastic video of Rachel & her Father on the Dall Sheep hunt. My Son, Steve Goble, had the rare opportunity to go on a Dall Sheep hunt with Rachel a few years ago. He has praised her as a true professional and a very rare dedicated guide, one of a kind. Very beautiful, talented and to be in a position to guide into the toughest wilderness & bag a trophy Dall Sheep is outstanding. Keep it up Rachel.
